Hello,
I am havingtrouble combining my bias exposures using zerocombine/ccdproc within the mscredpackage. I am using IRAF v2.12.2a and the latest version of mscred (I think). The data was taken on the kpno 0.9-m with the mosaic imager. I am getting the following error following completion of the xtalk correction:zerocombine

Hi Joseph, Try doing an "unlearn ccdproc", chances are you're getting the old task parameters from your uparm directory and need to reinitialize. You can also reinitialize your entire uparm directory with a new MKIRAF.Cheers,
-Mike

Hey Mike,
Sorry to bother you again. I executed the task after unlearning ccdproc, and obtained the same error message. I then went ahead and initialized my uparm directory as you suggested and once again obtained the same error. Where exactly is the "bpmasks" parameter defined? Thanks for the help.

For MSCRED.CCDPROC it is mscred$src/ccdproc.cl, for the NOAO.IMRED.CCDRED.CCDPROC it is ccdred$ccdproc.par (which has a 'max_cache' param your listing doesn't mention so I'm assuming you're listing the mscred version). The ZEROCOMBINE task is a script wrapper calling the tasks. If you get the error from an initialized uparm then there may have been an error in your IRAF or MSCRED install, e.g. the binaries were updated but the source tree wasn't. The 'bpmasks' param was added for MSCRED V4.3 (Feb01). Double-check your mscred version and update to the latest if you don't see the parameter list in the source.-Mike
