Is there an IRAF task to invert a transform found using fitcoords/transform?Also, how do I decipher the values stored in the fc[filename] files? Performing an xorder=3, yorder=2 Chebyshev fit on a 2036x2046 image yielded the following in my fc[filename] file: surface 14

Others might comment more directly, and I'd recommend doing some more searching of the forums but the following should help: https://iraf.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=82086&highlight=chebyshev

Thanks for the links! I didn't realize that the Search field in the upper lefthand corner of iraf.net does NOT search the forum, but I'll dig deeper from now on. Any chance of getting google to spider through the forum (my guess is that most people try google first)....

The forums are a plugin for the website and have their own search feature. The search bar at the top defaults to print a task help page with a simple CR but are a shortcut to the forum search if you type in a phrase and hit the rightmost button.I seeded websites with this url and submitted it to Google months ago, so far no robots. Strangely, MSN and Yahoo found it independently and have crawled the whole thing (an are now referring sites).
