Dear Frank,
Thank you very much for your reply!
I figured out that the problem was not in using libraries for IRAF.
It was something to do with the cl scrit I am using and
array size...   So it doesn't seem like display problem due
to libraries or current verison of IRAF.
Thanks! Serena

[quote:e1cbc38460]Hello Serena,
I'm sorry for the delay in replying.  I can take a look at this if you send me header listings from all the images which form a particular rootname that you are having problems with.   In you example hte rootname was ccd2001.
Yours,
Frank Valdes

Subject: a question related to display problem
Dear Dr. Fitzpatrick,
I am using a cl script written by someone else to reduce data
from Magellan.  It's called display8.cl (written by Gus Oelmer),
and is to display eight images that are one set of mosaic images.
When I try this, I get an error starting with
"ERROR: PLIO: reference out of bounds on mask".
==========================================================================
ecl> display8 ccd2001 1
ERROR: PLIO: reference out of bounds on mask
  "if(i == 1){display(tempim,frame=iff,xc=mod(i-1,4)*0.25+0.125,yc=0.75
.."
     line 33: /home/serena/Kapion/Magellan/IMACS/COSMOS/bin/display8.cl
     called as: `display8 (rootname=ccd2001, ifr=1)'
==========================================================================
Some of us have successfuly used it in their machiens, but two of us
can't.  I use LINUX versions for my two machines (fedora core3 and
fedora core1).
I am wondering if you might have some idea what set up may be wrong.
This task was defined in my locin.cl file, as well as the size of
the image to display.
set    stdimage        = imt8192
task    display8 = "/home/serena/Kapion/Magellan/IMACS/COSMOS/bin/ display8.cl"
I also include the cl script here in this email.  If you have any
suggestion, could you please let me know?
Thank you very much!
Sincerely,
Serena Kim
