Hi Mike,
thanks for your reply. Here is exactly what
I am doing:I open ds9 from a unix window then start iraf in
another window. I display the image from the iraf
command line then try to do imexamine. An error
pops up in the unix window:
can't read "ds9(canvas)": no such variable
This happens whether I load the image directly with
ds9 or from iraf. I also specify the fits extension
number and the frame that i want to be 'imexamined'.I will try e-mailing someone at cfa and see if they
have any information on this problem.thanks
