that a port will be required, the combination of OS and hardware are
different enough that a simple recompile of either the existing OSX or
Linux systems won't work as is. We're not part of the developer
program and don't have access to one of the early machines so any port
would wait until the machines at least appear in the public market
sometime next year. As you're aware, the state of IRAF support then
will be quite different than now and so I can't say with certainty
what the plan will be officially, but as a developer I'm not at all
reluctant to do the port. I know there is a lot of interest in these
machines and still a fair bit of time for the 'rumblers' to change
their minds.
Anyway, check back for an update closer to the time the machines
are launched.Cheers,
