I thought I had installed the latest iraf release without any problem
in my Suse 9.2 box but I get an error when trying to run simple things
like zerocombine:List of zero level images to combine (*.fits):
ERROR on line 46: segmentation violation
zerocombine () Are there possible conflicts in ownerships in the iraf/ subdirectories?
My account should be part of the iraf group and a separate iraf user
was created in the install process...

> -- Hi Todd,I apologize for such a delayed reply.I don't think the problem you are encountering is due to problems with
the installation. As there are no known bugs in zerocombine, and
since you imply that zerocombine isn't the only task where this
problem occurs, this could very well be data related. Hence, could you
post a couple of the images that cause this problem to the iraf ftp
site, (or if they are small enough (< 5-10 MCool, you could email them).
The information you need is:site: iraf.noao.edu
user: anonymous
pass: <your email address>Upload the files (be sure to use binary mode) to the /pub directory,
then let me know the filenames. Please include in your reply the
output from, e.g., 'lpar zerocombine'. Please also include any other
parameter listings from other tasks where you see this occur.Regards,Phillip

I think I got it to work by changing the ownership of the image
directory in iraf/iraf/ to my ownership. Things seem to be working now.Phillip Warner wrote:
