HI,
I installed IRAF 2.16.1 on a new MacBook Pro running Mojave (local user install, not system). It appears to be working except when trying to run scripts containing IRAF commands from a directory that does not contain the login.cl file. Even when just typing "cl" in a directory not containing the file, I get the following error:
setting terminal type to 'xgterm' ...
ERROR: cannot open `uparm$pipe8944' for writing
called as: `cl ()'
Error while reading login.cl file - may need to rebuild with mkiraf
Fatal startup error. CL dies.
This is making running my routines impossible because they are a mixture of IRAF commands and shell commands, so I can't run them in the IRAF environment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
