Can someone suggest how to make the font size bigger? I have looked at xgterm -h commands but not successful. thank you.

Using Ctrl-MB2 will bring up a menu you can use to select a different font interactively. The '-fn' cmdline option lets you name the font you want to use by default on the command line, and see the XTerm man page for a list of resources and options to controls fonts, XGterm will take the same options.
