Iraf help question

I'm working with spectra that we recently took at the 4m at KPNO.  We're trying to creat and run a bad pixel map on the spectra.  The creation portion is a success.  However, when the map is applied, it is evident that the map is not being applied.  The header says its been done, but the bad column on the ccd still appears.  Any suggestions on how to tackle this?  Please let me know if you'd like me send you a copy of the pixel map and/or a spectrum to test it on.
