Can anyone please remind me how to set the graphic mode for implot/splot/imexam etc. to plot in histogram mode, so that pixels are shown as square, flat-top rather than pointed triangles? Thanks!

The answer depends on the task so I'd suggest consulting individual help pages first. For SPLOT there is the options="histogram" parameter, for IMEXAM see the HIMEXAM pset parameters, and AFAIK IMPLOT doesn't do histograms at all.

In general, tasks that use the GTOOLS interface (i.e. the ":/<cmd>" have a ":/type histogram" option, but this interface isn't universal.

Thanks, Fitz -- looks as if what I want is available only in splot, not implot or imexam.
