The new IRAF has problems with "gkimosaic" as the previous version as well. The same data I put (z.gki) for the previous IRAF version makes the new IRAF hanging; not immediately thou, after display the plot, one needs to play with "z" "z" "space" etc.; drawing a box (with mouse) and "q":
Code:
vocl> gkimos z.gki
ERROR: floating point divide by zero
called as: `gkimosaic (input=z.gki)'
There is a note in the revisions file that this was fixed on 2/2/12 and so should be in the v2.16 release, and I don't see any problem on my machine using a locally created gki file.
I've since lost the z.gki file you uploaded in the earlier post, if this is the same file would you mind putting it in the anonftp at ftp://iraf.noao.edu/pub once again?
I'm also a bit confused by the statement that you need to "play with the 'z' key and draw a box with the mouse". Did you mean the 'Z' key and not 'z'? Drawing a box is a feature of the xgterm window and doesn't affect the task, did you do something else? Lastly, is this all still with nx=ny=1?
Thank you for allowing us the ftp. I put the "z.gki" there. With the unlearned state of "gkimos" I run "gkimos z.gki" and press "z" (lowercase) somewhere, move the mouse, pres "z" again etc. and I am able to hang IRAF 2.16. The situation strange is also this: I run "xterm", from it "xgterm&" and "cl", "gkimos z.gki" some keystrokes and I get in "xterm" window the message:
Code:
xgterm: warning, error event received:
X Error of failed request: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
