hello,

i'm having a problem with

ERROR: Cannot open connected subprocess (./x_scombine.e)

I've found in this same forum (i think it was mike who answered) that it relates to a possible update problem in iraf 2.12.2a, and that i could try:

cl> cd noao$
cl> mkpkg -p noao redhat
cl> mkpkg -p noao update

when i try

cl> mkpkg -p noao redhat

i get

envinit: cannot open `/iraf/iraf/unix/hlibzzsetenv.def'
envinit: cannot open `/iraf/iraf/noao/noaolib/zzsetenv.def'
Warning, mkpkg line 0: cannot open `hlib$mkpkg.inc'
Warning, mkpkg line 0: cannot open `noao$lib/mkpkg.inc'
deleting any dreg .e files left lying about in the source directories... done
archiving and deleting generic objects... tar: envinit\:: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: cannot: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: open: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: `/iraf/iraf/unix/hlibzzsetenv.def': Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
Error: cannot archive generic objects

< envinit: cannot open `/iraf/iraf/unix/hlibzzsetenv.def'

Check that your $iraf definition contains a trailing '/', both in a $iraf you defined on the unix commandline and any definitions in your .cshrc/.login files.
