Hi,
I have a problem while running the task 'phot' where I am unable to run the task without being queried/prompted for parameters. My goal is to be able to run this task (preferably through a python script using Pyraf) as part of an automated sequence that would not require the user to interact at all. While this works for me for other tasks, like txdump, simply by defining the queried parameters in the command, nothing I tried worked for phot.
I have edited all the parameter files beforehand and made sure all of them are defined. I've set interactive to no, graphics to no (I just want the text photometry output from phot, no graphics or interaction), and mode to 'h', which I thought was supposed to make all parameters hidden (and therefore not queried). I also tried defining the queried parameters in the command, but that had no effect.
In the command line, I have been running phot like this:
PHP Formatted Code
> phot img
.fit coords
="coords.txt" interactive
=no graphics
=no mode
='h'
And in Pyraf, within python script, like this:
PHP Formatted Code
iraf
.phot
(img
.fit
, coords
="coords.txt", interactive
='no', graphics
='no', mode
='h')
All I need is for this to run without querying for any parameters or asking for interaction of any kind, and instead to finish the task so Pyraf can read the output and use it in an automated procedure. I would be grateful for suggestions on how to accomplish this with any method. Thanks!
