I have many (1400) spectra with logarithmic binning in wavelength, how do I make a text file
with wavelengths in Angstroms rather than log(Angstroms)?

thanks...

Unfortunately, WSPECTEXT doesn't have an option to either rebin the spectra or print out the converted wavelength values (although that could be a handy new feature). The DISPCOR task can be used to rebin the spectra back to linear wavelengths and then you can WSPECTEXT the result. Post back if you need pointers about how to script a small loop to process all your spectra or have a look at the CL Script Guide at https://iraf.net/irafdocs/script/
