 Xgterm cannot be executed on MAC OS X el capitan

I have installed iraf on my mac os x el capitan and have installed x11 according to the procedure.But when i try to execute the xgterm & command it shows an error saying " cannot execute binary file".Kindly solve this.

Recent OSX releases no longer come with X11 and so this must be installed separately from xquartz.org. If this is an update of a previous OSX system and you already installed X11, then you may need to re-install XQuartz. Note also that sometime recently the X11 code moved from /usr/X11 (or /usr/X11R6) from when the binaries were built, to /opt/X11. So, the binaries probably aren't working because either 1) you don't have X11 installed, or 2) the X11 libraries are in the /opt directory where they aren't being found (a symlink pointing from /usr/X11 to /opt/X11 will fix this).
