Hi,

I'm using astutil.asttime to calculate epoch and julian day of my data from the local dates and times. I got the results in the form
EPOCH JD LMST
1987.82398 2447097.7083 0:01:35.8
I need more digits after the decimal point for the epoch and JD. My question is: is there a way to change the format (precision) of these two results? Thank you in advance.

Have a look at the ASTCALC task in the same ASTUTIL package as a way to do the same calculation, but with control over the output format. More precision can only be added to ASTTIMES with a code change.
