Hello,
I need some help regarding splot. I'm looking for a way to control the output file of splot task.
I use the following command to analyze my spectrum and save the results to the output file of the splot
\$this->_split2($m[0]) splot spec1.fits save_file="spec1-splot"
The output results that saved in spec1-splot is like that
center cont flux eqw core gfwhm lfwhm
3968.842 0.1558611 56.1166 -360. 26.0635 2.023 0.
(0.00293) ( 0.) ( 0.9185) ( 3.27) ( 0.4493) (0.00878) ( 0.)
The second row represent the error in each parameter in the first row. I'm looking only for the flux error and not all errors appear between brackets in the second row. I need also to format the output to have only five columns: wavelength, flux, flux error, eqw, gfwhm.
Is there a way to format the output of the splot task as I wish? Any ideas, Thanks! Alaa

There are no options to control the format of the save file, the only way to change it is to modify the code. To get the value you want, have a look at the FIELDS task as a way to select specific columns.
