Hey there,

I am working with image exposures made up of 8 CCD frames and I have been trying to create a master image from several exposures in shifted regions (which each have eight frames).

I was able to stack the images with mscstack, but the tangent plane wasn't aligned so the overlapping regions did not align perfectly.
I have been trying to generate a tangent-plane projected image using mscimage but have been getting a floating point error (see below). (I have tried first creating an MEF file with mscjoin).


Thanks for any help and advice in the way of resolving this error. Please let me know what additional information I might provide.

I am now aware of an error of this type in mscimage, which script that appears to be failing in the compiled task geotran. This is probably a version/os/environment problem. I am guessing that this was executed through pyraf which is not fully vetted for all IRAF script tasks. So one step would be to run this through the IRAF command language (cl). If you want to pursue this further we we would need to know the version of IRAF, the host machine type and OS, and verify that this is pyraf. We don't support pyraf so first try to resolve the problem outside of pyraf.
