I forgot this command and couldn't find it out. I need to extract only a line of information, say the exposure time from the header and write it into a plain text file. What is that command?Thanks a lot!

I tend just to do:imhead @files l+ | grep KEYWORD > file.txtand either use AWK/SED to clean it up or do it in vi...ie:
sed 's/KEYWORD=//' file.txt > file2.txtIf I want multiple ones I do a file for each and then joinlines them together...-M

If you are not restricted to IRAF tasks, give dfits in combination with fitsort a chance:http://archive.eso.org/saft/dfits/Very useful!!cheers
