Hi Mike,I need some help working with Gemini GMOS longslit spectra - they are MEF files, and I haven't been able to successfully copy, move or perform image arithmetic on them as a whole. I can do some things extension-by-extension, but I would like to be able to do the equivalent of imcopy, imarith, implot, etc. for the whole image. Thanks very much,
Karen

Hi Karen,Some of what you want can be done with the GEMINI.GEMTOOLS package, e.g. see the GEMARITH task. Otherwise, the rule is that you need to specify the image extension to e.g. implot the image data. For example,[code:1:8c16e59b05]cl> implot foo.fits[SCI][/code:1:8c16e59b05]Some of the Gemini folks follow the forum and you may get a reply from them as well.Cheers,
-Mike
