Hi,
I have 3D cubes created with IRAF-NIFS tasks, but in all of them the object is in different positions. Is there any task in iraf that I can use to shift them in subpixel scale before combining them? (All the tasks that use WSC to derive the shifts give dx=0,dy=0).
Thanks for your help,
Monik.

Nifcube itself should be able to do this, but you may need to play around with WCS values to tell it the relative offsets.I have a task for mosaicing datacubes with sub-pixel shifts, but that's not what you want here; since the NIFS data are undersampled, it would be best to let nifcube handle this in one shot using Drizzle.James.

Hi James,
Mmm, yes you're right: seems that, in principle, IRAF-NIFCUBE should be able to do that, but we have to wait for new developments + releases of IRAF-NIFs to get this working.
Thanks for your answer,
Monik.
