Hi all, I'm trying to run nsfitcoords but when I do it stops directly after listing the input files and output files telling me:Using input files:
list
Using output files:
list
Warning: Cannot open file (tmpout#---)
scanfile:where the # and --- are random numbers and letters denoting the specific file and it wants me to input a scanfile. I'm running this on a different system... MacOSX, Iraf2.14, and gemini1.10. Below are my input parameters. PACKAGE = gnirs
TASK = nsfitcoordsinimages= "" Input GNIRS/NIRI spectra
(outspec= ) Output spectra
(outpref= f) Prefix for output spectra
(lamptra= wrgnarc) Name of arc lamp spectrum used to determine wavelength calibration
(sdisttr= rgnronchiflat) Name of image used to determine S-distortion calibration
(dispaxi= 1) Dispersion axis if not defined in the header
(databas= ) Directory for calibration files
(fl_inte= no) Examine fitted transformations interactively
(fl_alig= no) Align images in the spatial direction?
(functio= chebyshev) Coordinate fitting function
(lxorder= 2) X order of lamp fitting function
(lyorder= 2) Y order of lamp fitting function
(sxorder= 2) X order of S-distortion fitting function
(syorder= 2) Y order of S-distortion fitting function
(pixscal= 1.) Pixel scale in arcsec/pixel if not defined in the header
(logfile= test.log) Logfile
(verbose= yes) Verbose
(debug = no) Very verbose
(force = no) Force use with earlier IRAF versions?
(status = 1) Exit status (0=Good)
(scanfil= ) Internal use
(scanfil= ) Internal use
(mode = ql)Could it be something went wrong in the calibration reduction for my arc or ronchi? also, for these data nfprep, nsreduce, and nffixbad were applied first.

Hi Lorrie,Just a quick suggestion in case you haven't tried this already, but did you clean your uparm directory after the installation of v1.10 of the Gemini package?Emma Smile

Hi,Mm, ok another option -if you haven't try it either- is to run all the process of reduction again from cero so all the temporal files and etcs are created and used, if necesary, one after the other.
Cheers, and good luck!Monik.
