In IRAF 2.14, it seems that the parameter 'bpcolor' is no longer effective. Only the 'ocolors' parameter is picked up (even for bpdisplay='overlay' and overlay="").For example
cl> unlearn display
cl> display myimage 1 bpmask=mymask.fits bpdisplay=overlay bpcolor=red \
overlay="" ocolors=green..will display the bpmask in green. The bpcolor is completely ignored. This becomes a problem when someone, like me, needs to flag the bpmask *and* make use of the 'overlay'.Cheers,
Kathleen

Hi Kathleen,During up update code was replicated from handling the overlays to the handling for the bad pixels. I forgot to reset the pointer for the colors so that the overlay colors are used for both. This was a trivial mistake which I appreciate that you caught and reported. As noted below, there is no workaround.Yours,

parameter. There is no workaround.STATUS: Fixed for the next release.

Since this feature is critical to our operations and we cannot wait for the next IRAF release, I troubleshooted the problem yesterday and fixed the display code. I recompiled x_tv.e, which is what we are using internally now.Glad to get the confirmation that that was the only problem.Kathleen
