Does it make sense to do psf photometry when the only stars without nieghbors within the fitting radius also have no neighbors within the psf radius. The goal is to reduce an image of M51 to get the magnitude of a supernova within, but the only candidate psf stars in the image, as i said, are completely isolated and the ones in the galaxy are too crowded...thanks for any help.
