Subject: imcombineHi Mike, Not sure if the iraf@noao.edu is still good or not but I sent a
bug report regarding imcombine in 2.12.2 to that email address.
Now we know that it works in 2.11.3 but not in 2.12.2. Here is
what happens in 2.12.2 both in Linux and Solaris,cl> imcombine @bcd1list
List of output images (bcdout.fits):
ERROR: floating point invalid operationIn 2.11.3 it processes the input correctly and produces the median
output image, bcdout.fits.Cheers,
Lee

Hi Evan,My guess is that the bad pixel masks, which are pointed to by the BPM
keywords in the input images, are set to exclude all or most of the input
pixels. The way you have your parameters set the bad pixels are those
with a non-zero value. Most of the mask should have values of zero for
the good pixels. If this is not the case for you mask you would need
to adjust the "masktype" and "maskvalue" parameters. Try doing ancl> imstat <mask>where mask is the name of the file pointed by the BPM keyword. If you
have more questions send me a header listing of one of the images and
the imstat result for the mask specified.Note that one simple thing you can do is set "masktype = none" to combine
without masking.Yours,
Frank Valdes
